Security guard shoots drive dead for having an affair with his wife

A driver employed by Khan Logistics was shot dead by a private security guard on suspicion of having an affair with the guard’s wife. Adaca Sabina, also known as Francis Alele, residing in Kisalosalo, Kawempe Division in Kampala, was shot in the chest by Achol, an employee of SGA Security; on Wednesday evening at approximately 7:30 pm. Achol fled the scene after the shooting.

Luke Owoyesigyire, deputy spokesperson for Kampala Metropolitan police, stated that the police collected potential evidence and transported Sabina’s body to the Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) morgue at Mulago for a postmortem examination. Owoyesigyire mentioned that while reports from locals suggest infidelity as a motive, it cannot be confirmed until the suspect is apprehended and provides a statement detailing the reasons for his actions.

Owoyesigyire emphasized the importance of allowing the ongoing investigation to uncover all relevant details and motives surrounding the crime. The police urged individuals with information about the incident to come forward.

Sabina’s murder is one of four killings recorded in Kampala Metropolitan during Eid Al-Fitr celebrations. Brian Maniriho, a 19-year-old hawker residing in Kifumbira zone, Kamwokya, was found dead at Kitante junction on Kira Road. He was suspected to have been beaten by a mob for unknown reasons.

Two other unidentified men were killed in separate incidents in Old Kampala and Kasangati. In Old Kampala, one of the suspects involved in a burglary was lynched by neighbors after an alarm was raised. In Kasangati, a murder occurred at Masooli village, where an unidentified man, believed to be a boda boda rider, was found dead near an abandoned motorcycle.
