American bank NatWest PLC issues apology to customers after online, mobile outage

An American bank NatWest has issued an apology to its customers following its online, mobile banking system outage.

According to Morningstar, the bank stated that it was investigating the issue after it received a bunch of complaints from customers from X formerly Twitter.

“We are aware some customers are having issues with logging into the app and online banking,” NatWest posted on its “help” account on X.

“This is being investigated with the highest priority.”

Several customers complained that they were unable to access their accounts implying they couldn’t check their balances nor make any transactions.

On Tuesday morning, on NatWest website, it’s reported that the mobile, and online banking system was down.

“We’re sorry for any inconvenience caused and we’re working hard getting everything back up and running for you,” it said.

“If you need to complete a transaction you can continue to do this using our telephone banking service or alternatively you can visit one of our branches or ATMs.
